We are seeking an experienced 3D Rendering Engineer to build advanced in vehicle visualization experiences for both autonomous driving feedback and next generation digital cockpit systems. In this role, you willtransform complex AI outputs, sensor data, and vehicle state into clear, trustworthy 2D and 3D visualizations—while also creating rich 3D HMI elements, vehicle models, and cockpit UI components. You will work atthe intersection of graphics, real-time systems, and user experience, developing high performance applications for constrained embedded environments. Your work will directly shape how users understandautonomy, interact with the in-cabin interface, and assess real world driving behavior.
In-Vehicle Visualization Platform: Build and evolve a web-based or native cockpit visualization application that displays camera feeds, vehicle state, and system outputs for live operation, demos, anddiagnostics.
3D Cockpit Visualizations: Develop real-time 3D HMI elements, 3D vehicle models, driving scenes, and spatial awareness visualizations using Unity 3D, Qt 3D, or similar 3D frameworks.
Spatial Rendering for Autonomy: Implement 3D representations of trajectories, perception meshes, occupancy grids, object overlays, and environment modeling using WebGL/Three.js or native 3D engines.
Real-Time Data Integration: Integrate high-frequency data streams (sensor fusion, autonomy outputs, vehicle CAN/state) into a responsive, low latency visualization pipeline.
Performance Optimization: Tune rendering pipelines for frame rate, latency, memory use, and thermal constraints across embedded, automotive, and multi platform systems.
Cross Platform Development: Deliver cockpit 3D visualizations that run across head units, cluster displays, web interfaces, or embedded compute modules.
User-Centered Iteration: Work directly with UX designers, vehicle operators, and engineering teams to gather feedback, iterate quickly, and improve clarity and usability of cockpit UIs.
Full-Stack Ownership: Contribute across the visualization stack—front-end rendering, backend integration, asset pipelines, and data transformations.
Debug & Diagnostics: Build visualization tools that help teams analyze autonomy behavior and diagnose real-world issues in the field.
Maintainability & Quality: Own architectural decisions, testing, performance instrumentation, observability, and long-term reliability of rendering systems.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Graphics Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
Experience: 5+ years in software engineering with strong focus on graphics, rendering, or visualization systems.
3D Engine Expertise: Hands on experience with Unity 3D, Qt 3D, Unreal Engine, Godot, or other real-time rendering frameworks.
Web/Embedded Rendering: Strong understanding of WebGL, WebGPU, Three.js, or native graphics APIs (OpenGL, Vulkan, DirectX).
Real-Time Graphics Knowledge: Proficiency with shaders, lighting models, scene graphs, transformations, animation, and 3D asset pipelines (glTF, FBX, USD).
UI/HMI Systems: Experience building automotive or embedded 3D HMI, 3D models, and interactive user interfaces.
Performance Debugging: Ability to optimize frame timing, memory usage, GPU load, and rendering stability across diverse platforms.
Systems Thinking: Experience integrating with backend services, data streams, and real-time systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Comfortable working with UX, autonomy, embedded, and system engineering teams.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-Solving: Strong ability to diagnose rendering issues, data inconsistencies, and system-level performance bottlenecks.
