We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Applications Engineer (Camera ISP) to support our next-generation Edge AI SoC platform. In this role, you will work across the full camera pipeline—from sensor bring-up andMIPI CSI integration to ISP tuning and software enablement—delivering high-quality imaging performance optimized for real-time edge AI applications. Our SoC integrates a high-throughput multi-camera MIPI CSIsubsystem designed for advanced vision and AI workloads. You will collaborate closely with hardware, platform software, imaging, and AI runtime teams to ensure robust, scalable, and production-ready camerapipelines. This position requires deep expertise in embedded Linux, BSP development, image signal processing, and camera system integration, along with strong debugging and system-level optimization skills.
Camera Pipeline Bring-Up: Lead end-to-end camera bring-up including sensor integration, MIPI CSI interface configuration, and ISP enablement.
Driver Development: Develop and optimize V4L2 drivers, media controller pipelines, and kernel-level components for camera subsystems.
ISP Tuning & Optimization: Collaborate with imaging teams to tune ISP parameters for image quality, performance, and power efficiency across diverse use cases.
Embedded Linux & BSP Development: Contribute to BSP development including kernel configuration, device tree integration, and platform-level software enablement.
Multi-Camera Systems: Enable and optimize multi-camera configurations for synchronized, high-throughput vision processing.
Real-Time Performance: Ensure low-latency, high-reliability operation of camera pipelines for edge AI applications.
Debug & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues across sensor interfaces, drivers, ISP processing, and system integration.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with hardware, SoC, AI, and software teams to ensure seamless integration of camera pipelines into end-to-end systems.
Customer Support & Enablement: Support internal and external customers with camera integration, debugging, and performance optimization.
Documentation & Best Practices: Develop technical documentation, design guidelines, and bring-up procedures for camera subsystems.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: 10+ years in embedded systems, applications engineering, or camera/ISP-related roles within the semiconductor industry.
Embedded Systems Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with embedded Linux, kernel development, and BSP bring-up.
Camera & ISP Knowledge: Deep understanding of image signal processing pipelines, camera sensors, and image quality tuning.
Driver & Frameworks: Experience with V4L2, media controller framework, and Linux camera subsystems.
Interfaces: Strong knowledge of MIPI CSI/DSI, high-speed interfaces, and camera integration.
Debug Skills: Proven ability to debug complex issues across hardware and software layers, including signal integrity, driver issues, and image quality problems.
Performance Optimization: Experience optimizing throughput, latency, and power for real-time vision pipelines.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively across hardware, software, and AI teams in a fast-paced environment.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical audiences.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and system-level troubleshooting skills.
