Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Director of Sales to lead and scale our global sales organization, driving revenue growth and strategic customer engagement across the semiconductor market. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, and building a high-performing sales team focused on achieving aggressive growth objectives.

 

You will work closely with executive leadership, product management, marketing, applications engineering, and operations teams to identify market opportunities, secure strategic design wins, and accelerate adoption of our semiconductor portfolio. This role requires a strong blend of leadership, business acumen, and technical understanding of semiconductor solutions and target applications.

Responsibilities 

    • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute global sales strategies to achieve revenue, market share, and profitability objectives.
    • Revenue Growth: Drive new business opportunities, expand strategic accounts, and maximize revenue across existing and emerging markets.
    • Team Leadership: Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing sales organization, including direct sales, channel partners, and regional representatives.
    • Key Account Management: Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, industrial customers, distributors, and strategic partners.
    • Design Win Leadership: Drive design-in and design-win initiatives, ensuring alignment between customer requirements and company product offerings.
    • Business Development: Identify new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and ecosystem relationships to support long-term growth.
    • Sales Forecasting & Pipeline Management: Develop accurate sales forecasts, monitor pipeline health, and implement actions to achieve quarterly and annual targets.
    • Go-to-Market Execution: Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to support product launches, pricing strategies, and customer engagement activities.
    • Contract Negotiation: Lead commercial negotiations, pricing agreements, supply commitments, and long-term strategic partnerships.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product management, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure successful customer outcomes and product delivery.
    • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitive activity, market trends, customer requirements, and emerging technologies to influence product strategy and investment decisions.
    • Executive Reporting: Provide regular business updates, sales metrics, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.

Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
    • Experience: 15+ years of sales, business development, or commercial leadership experience within the semiconductor industry, with at least 5 years in a senior sales management role.
    • Semiconductor Expertise: Strong understanding of semiconductor products including MCUs, MPUs, SoCs, Mixed-Signal ICs, Analog Devices, Sensors, Connectivity Solutions, and Embedded Systems.
    • Automotive & Industrial Markets: Experience selling into automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, industrial customers, and emerging edge AI markets preferred.
    • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to build, lead, and motivate high-performance sales organizations across multiple regions.
    • Business Acumen: Demonstrated success managing revenue growth, strategic planning, pricing strategies, and key customer relationships.
    • Negotiation Skills: Extensive experience leading commercial negotiations, strategic agreements, and long-term customer partnerships.
    • Customer-Facing Skills: Strong executive presence with the ability to engage effectively at all levels, from engineering teams to C-suite executives.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
    • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market insights into business opportunities.
    • Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support customers, partners, and industry events.

     


     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Existing relationships with major automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, distributors, and semiconductor ecosystem partners.
    • Experience leading sales organizations focused on automotive, edge AI, digital cockpit, ADAS, Vision systems, industrial automation, and embedded computing markets.
    • Familiarity with automotive standards and ecosystems including AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, ASPICE, and ISO 21434.
    • Experience managing both direct and channel sales organizations on a global scale.

    Background in launching and scaling new semiconductor product lines from introduction through volume production.
